About Diljit Dosanjh
Born on January 6, 1984, Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian musician, actor, producer of motion pictures, and television personality. He first works in Punjabi music and thereafter in Hindi and Punjabi film. In 2020, Dosanjh was listed on Billboard’s Social 50 chart. He appears on a number of music charts, such as the New Zealand Hot Singles, the Official Charts Company’s UK Asian list, and the Canadian Albums list. Dosanjh, who was born in Dosanjh Kalan, Jalandhar, began his career in 2002. He became well-known in the Punjabi music scene with his albums Smile (2005), Chocolate (2008), and The Next Level (2009), which included Yo Yo Honey Singh.

Childhood
A Sikh family in the village of Dosanjh Kalan in Phillaur tehsil, Jalandhar district, Punjab, India, welcomed Diljit Dosanjh into the world on January 6, 1984. His mother, Sukhwinder Kaur, stays at home while his father, Balbir Singh, worked for Punjab Roadways in the past. He has a younger brother and an older sister as siblings.
After moving to Ludhiana, Punjab, where he finished his official education, including high school at Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, he spent his early formative years in Dosanjh Kalan. Career
2003–2004: DIL and Ishq Da Uda Ada
In 2003, Diljit’s debut album, Ishq Da Uda Ada, was released through Finetone Cassettes, a T-Series division. It was proposed to Dosanjh that he spell his first name Diljit rather than Daljit by Rajinder Singh of Finetone, who assisted him in making his breakthrough in the Punjabi music industry. Bablu Mahindra wrote the lyrics and Balvir Boparai created the music.

With the release of his third album, Smile (produced by Sukhpal Sukh), which featured the songs “Nachh Diyan Alran Kuwariyan” and “Paggan Pochviyan Wale,” Dosanjh’s fame skyrocketed. Finetone Cassettes released the album in 2005. In 2006, Finetone Cassettes published his next album, Ishq Ho Gaya.
Chocolate, his fifth album, was released in 2008. Dosanjh put out four separate songs in 2009: “Dance with Me,” “No Tension,” “Power of Duets,” and “Bhagat Singh.”
The next year, Dosanjh’s sixth album, The Next Level, which has eight tracks, was published. In 2010, Dosanjh contributed a song to Mel Karade Rabba: Original Soundtrack. Jimmy Shergill, an actor, lip-synced the song, which was featured in the opening credits of the same-titled feature film.
Dosanjh made his debut in popular Punjabi cinema in 2011. The Lion of Punjab, his first motion picture in the lead role, was released in February 2011. Even though the movie didn’t do well at the box office, his song “Lak 28 Kudi Da” from the soundtrack did quite well.
