Sachin-Jigar is an Indian partnership that consists of Jigar Saraiya and Sachin Sanghvi. They are arrangers, producers, directors, and singers of music. Career
Sachin-Jigar has composed music for a variety of media, including jingles, television soap operas, and theater. They had to have completed at least five hundred plays and five thousand television shows for a variety of networks and genres. Jigar met Amit Trivedi while helping music director Rajesh Roshan; Trivedi then introduced Jigar to Sachin. Later that year, they got together and began helping Pritam with the musical arrangements.
Before becoming independent composers in 2009, they had programmed and arranged for nearly all of Bollywood’s music directors, including A.R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Anu Malik, Nadeem-Shravan, Sandesh Shandilya, Pritam, Vishal-Shekhar, and others. [Lori Song Lyrics – Hansika Pareek 2024]
They wrote a single song for the 2009 movie Life Partner, which mostly included music by their instructor Pritam. The hit songs “Le Ja Tu Mujhe” and “Char Baj Gaye (Party Abhi Baaki Hai)” from the movie F.A.L.T.U. were featured in their debut project as an independent music director pair in 2011. They composed music for Hum Tum Shabana & Shor in the City in 2011.
In the latter, Karma Is A Bitch became a great hit, and the song Saibo, sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Tochi Raina, was particularly praised by reviewers and the general public.
Following that, they wrote songs for Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012), Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012), OMG: Oh My God! (2012), and Ajab Gazabb Love (2012); they also wrote full albums for ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013) and Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story (2013), Himmatwala (2013), two songs for I, Me Aur Main (2013), and full albums for Go Goa Gone (2013) and Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013).
They then worked with Yash Raj films on the hugely popular Shuddh Desi Romance, which was helmed by Maneesh Sharma, and composed the soundtrack for the movie Issaq.
They wrote three original songs in 2014 for the Shashank Khaitan-directed film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, which was produced by Karan Johar under the Dharma Productions brand and featured hits like “Saturday Saturday” and “Samjhavan,” which were written by their album partners Sharib-Toshi. For both of them, it was their first job with Dharma Productions. That year’s third album, Happy Ending, was written and directed by Raj & DK, while the second album, Entertainment, starring Akshay Kumar, was directed by the well-known writing team of Sajid-Farhad.
